HOLLAND TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 46-year-old man and a 16-year-old juvenile male from Holland Township have been arrested for breaking and entering and being in possession of burglary tools.
Sgt. Bob Ruster of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 200 block of Douglas Avenue in Holland Township Friday morning, November 24, at 4:00 a.m. after receiving a report of someone with a flashlight inside of a closed business. When deputies arrived they noticed a vehicle leaving the area and traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspects were arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and being in possession of burglary tools. Cash and property were recovered in the suspect’s vehicle with evidence break-ins of two businesses.
The 48-year-old man is lodged at the Ottawa County Jail and the 16-year-old juvenile male is lodged at the Ottawa County Youth Home.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detectives were called to assist in the investigation and advised that similar crimes by the two suspects are being investigated.
Names will be released when the two are arraigned
