HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Although no decisions will be made, this evening’s work-study session by the Holland City Council will be filled with topics that should generate some discussion at length.
The Holland Human Relations Commission wants Council to acknowledge the Tulip City as an “inclusive” community, submitting a resolution to that effect, and a proposed letter to the Congressional delegation representing the Lakeshore asking for continued support of DACA “Dreamers” doesn’t make any reference to the HRC, but it may have come from that panel.
The issue of “vision” that was mentioned frequently in the just-completed Mayoral election campaign between victorious incumbent Nancy DeBoer and challenger Jay Peters could be behind Interim City Manager Greg Robinson’s report during tonight’s work-study session on how to best approach next year’s Council Priority Sessions to address “priorities” by each council member and by the panel as a whole.
Also during this evening’s work-study session, Council will discuss the next steps of the City Manager Search with retained consultant Amy Cell.
The work-study session begins in City Hall at 5:30 PM and is open to the public. A link to its agenda and documents is here.
