HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An annual holiday event for the Michigan West Coast Chamber of Commerce is on Monday morning.
Continuing the tradition started by his predecessor, Pete Hoekstra, Congressman Bill Huizenga addresses members of the Tulip City business community, community leaders and others in a Legislative Breakfast at the Commons of Evergreen. “It’s not an event for me, it’s not a fundraiser for me, it is for the Chamber of Commerce,” he said during the weekly interview on “WHTC Morning News” last Thursday. “It’s always a great time to be able to reconnect, to spend some time with folks, and to get them caught up on what’s been happening in DC. I’m hoping that we might have a special guest there, but I’ll leave it at that for right now.”
There is speculation that the special guest of the Zeeland Republican could be Hoekstra, who was sworn in a week ago as the new US Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. According to the Chamber, the event is sold out.
