SCOTTSVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The efforts by employees at Consumers Energy’s Zeeland Generation Station for promoting an ethical workplace will be rewarded by the utility – in Mason County.
On Monday, officials of Consumers presented a five thousand-dollar check from the Consumers Energy Foundation to the Ruby Creek Disabled Veterans Hunt Club. This non-profit provides various outdoor opportunities to those who have served this country and live in West Michigan. The charity was chosen by the 25 employees at the plant in part because Dan Ambrose, who works at the Consumers plant off of Fairview Avenue, is a board member of that Hunt Club.
The money came from the plant winning an Ethics in Action Award from the utility.
