HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – The temperature outside may struggle to crack the teens this weekend, but the United Way thermometers in Ottawa County have hit the 60 mark.
Officials of the Greater Ottawa County United Way say that they have reached the 60-percent level towards the goal of 2.5 million dollars raised in this year’s annual “community campaign.” Co-chairs Mark and Lori Wilson are already on record as saying that, if the effort garners at least eight percent more in funds from last year, the goal that has been elusive since the campaign hit a 2.3 million-dollar target in March, 2015 will finally be reached.
According to Tracy Plummer, Vice President of Annual Campaign for the GOCUW, nearly 200 business have participated thus far, with more being targeted. An online link for more information on the campaign and how you can participate is here.
