WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – Four of the five top elected countywide officials in Ottawa County announced plans to run for reelection this fall. Clerk Justin Roebuck, Treasurer Brad Slagh, Drain Commissioner Joe Bush and Prosecutor Ron Frantz will all run as Republicans in a heavily GOP county for another four-year term, with none expected to see a primary challenge in August. Frantz is the senior member of the group, as he has been the Prosecutor since January of 1991, while Slagh and Bush are seeking their second full terms and Roebuck is running for reelection for the first time. County Sheriff Gary Rosema has already announced plans to retire at year’s end, with Undersheriff Steve Kempker planning to run to replace him.
