HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Local artist, Carolyn Stich has chosen this year’s winning poster design for the 6th annual Walk For Warmth poster contest.
Sarah Neumann, a Junior at Zeeland West High School was chosen for her winning design. She used a stitch design as her motif. Nuemann’s poster was printed by Schreur Printing, and distributed throughout Ottawa County.
Mike Stock the event’s organizer says Community Action Agency’s Walk For Warmth is in it’s 26th year and raises money for families in Ottawa County who have received a shut-off notice from their utility company. Last year CAA with it’s range of programs, assisted over 5,000 qualified individuals.
The event takes place Saturday February 13 at 8:30 a.m. at City On A Hill 100 Pine Street in Zeeland. Registration for the two mile walk around downtown can be found at www.miottawa.org/w4w
