HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Sheriff’s office wants YOU behind bars.
They are inviting residents to tour the jail, 911 dispatch center, shooting range and more during the 2016 Citizen Police Academy. The Sheriff’s office says its a rare opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at law enforcement operations. A few spots remain.
The first session begins on February 23 and the academy ends on May 17, 2016. Enrollment is limited to approximately twenty-five students. Potential candidates for the Citizen Police Academy must meet the following criteria:
Minimum age of 18
Live or work in Ottawa County
No misdemeanor arrests within one year of application
No prior felony arrests
