HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tulip Time has announced a second attempt to Klomp the Record and break the old record for the largest number of people simultaneously dancing in wooden shoes.
Last year the event fell short of breaking the record. Event planner Kara Rooks says part of falling short of the record was because there was a lack of wooden shoes. In an effort to make sure everyone can participate, there is a wooden show drive.
Through January and into the months of February and March, Tulip Time will be accepting wooden shoe donations. Shoe may be dropped off at Borr’s Shoes, 51 E, 8th Street in Holland. Special discounts are available from Borr’s Shoes for those that drop donate shoes from January 25th-30th or February 22nd-27th, 2016.
The cost of registration to participate in Klomp the Record is $6 per person. All funds raised from this event will go to Bethany Christian Services’ post adoption fund.
More details and registration is at www.tuliptime.com/klomp
Tulip Time runs May 7th-14th. Here is a video of last year’s attempt. http://on.fb.me/1JYcAd4
