HOLLAND TWP. (WHTC) — Zeeland resident Beverly Grimes 67, suffered minor injuries after a morning crash in Holland Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. David VanderPloeg.
The crash happened on Riley Street just west of 112th Avenue at 8:45 a.m. when Zeeland resident Allen DenBleyker 16, lost control of his Ford F150 on the slippery road, VanderPloeg said. DenBleyker had attempted to stop behind another vehicle which was attempting to turn left.
The F150 slide into Riley’s westbound lane and into the path of Grimes’ Nissan Altima. The vehicles hit head on.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Grimes suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Spectrum Health in Zeeland for treatment.
