ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – During tonight’s Zeeland City Council meeting, a public hearing will be held on proposed changes to the city’s Alcoholic Liquors Ordinance. City Manager Tim Klunder is asking Council to allow a PowerPoint presentation of the requested alterations, which center on changing the food-to-alcohol ratio and allowing civic events to have alcoholic beverages. The changes came from an Alcohol Ordinance Review Committee that looked over the laws passed when Zeeland lifted its decades-long ban on liquor sales in 2007. A final vote on the amendments is tentatively set for February 15th.
