MOUNT PLEASANT, MI (WHTC) – In November of 2015, a student at Central Michigan University died a hero when he pushed his friend from a speeding car, getting struck himself and hitting a ditch after he flew 30 feet.
Ryan Tsatsos who is from the metro Detroit area, was studying criminal justice at CMU and was on his way home to his residence hall when he was struck. The incident occurred on Crawford Road between Billabrail Street and Concourse Drive, south of the main campus.
Police believe the vehicle that struck Tsatsos is a dark metallic blue color. The vehicle could likely have front passenger side damage and potentially fender, windshield and hood damage.
Ryan’s death marks another tragedy for the Tsatsos family, as another son, Daryl, 19, died in the three-car crash in July that is still under investigation. The death of Ryan has left the parents Paul and Judy Tsatsos with no children.
Crime Stoppers has issued a cash reward up to $5,000 for any information on the crime.
