HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The President of the Ottawa County Patriots has decided to run for the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners First District seat.
Jim Chiodo made the announcement this morning on WHTC’s Talk of the Town hosted by Juke Van Oss. District 1 covers Port Sheldon Township, Park Township and City of Holland Ward 4 Precinct 1. Stu Visser currently holds the seat and is not running for reelection.
Former Holland School Superintendent Frank Garcia has also filed to run in the GOP primary. He is the father of state Rep. Daniela Garcia (R-Holland Twp.)
Chioto says the Ottawa County Patriots will be holding a public policy forum on private gun ownership and safety.
The forum will be held at the Howard Miller Library In Zeeland on Feb. 15 from 7-9 p.m.
