SPRING LAKE, MI (WHTC) – A 23-year-old Grand Haven woman was seriously injured in a crash late Sunday evening.
The crash occured on Hemlock Drive and 168th Avenue in Spring Lake Township according to MLive. The driver’s 2004 Pontiac left the road and struck a culvert.
The driver’s name is not being released pending further investigation according to Sgt. Brian Buter of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots at the scene but police have determined the sound came from someone trying to break a window to try to help the woman out of the vehicle.
The woman remains in serious condition at North Ottawa Community Hospital.
