HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Today February 22, the office of the Mayor of Holland, Holland Youth Advisory Council and the Lakeshore Youth Leaders will meet for the Mayor’s Youth Adult Roundtable.
The event will bring together juniors and seniors from area high schools, along with community and government leaders to discuss current issues in an environment that encourages learning, and develops communication and presentation skills in the students.
This year the event’s focus will be on entrepreneurial questions of our prosperous business community led by four Lakeshore Under 40 leaders chosen by the Grand Rapids Business Journal, David Bolt, Brian Burch, Mike Goorhouse and Jeremy Latchaw. The will be joined by Alex Corbin of Lakeshore Advantage on the panel.
Established in 2000, the Lakeshore Youth Leaders Board is a collaborative group of more then 15 nonprofit organizations, along with contacts from each of the schools along the Lakeshore. Their mission is to embrace and value the area’s youth by empowering them to strengthen our community through meaningful participation.
