ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Tonight Zeeland City Council will decide whether or not to endorse the concept of the offering redevelopment liquor licenses.
Members of the alcohol review committee have met with City Marketing Director Abby DeRoo and City Manager Tim Klunder, current liquor license holders and the Shopping Area Redevelopment Board last week after city council requested getting input from stakeholders before making a decision.
The redevelopment liquor license application process will give the city some control over what goes into downtown. The applicant would first have to get local license approval from the city and then the city and applicant must together apply for a redevelopment liquor license.
The Zeeland City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Zeeland City Hall, 21 S. Elm Street in Zeeland.
