GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC) – Kim Nagy, a teacher and small business owner has filed with Ottawa County and will be running for State House of Representatives for the 88th district as a Democrat. The current incumbent is Roger Victory.
The 88th district includes Allendale, Chester, Coopersville, Georgetown, Polkton, Tallmadge and Wright Townships. Nagy was born and raised in Michigan and returned to West Michigan in 1996 after beginning her career in Chicago. She has taught in the public school system for 18 years. Nagy received her undergraduate education from Hope College and her graduate degree from Northwestern University.
An official campaign announcement will be made today, March 23rd, just outside the Georgetown Library at 5:30 p.m. Kim has invited the public to join in this gathering “because this campaign is community focused and community driven, and I’d like to meet every one of the constituents of the 88th district in order to hear their concerns”.
