HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (OCDSA) will be taking on the Detroit Lions in a basketball game.
The game allows the OCDSA to donate school supplies to needy children in Ottawa County and two other local charities. The game is hosted during National Corrections Officers and Employees Week to show appreciation to the more than 70 plus correctional deputies and employees that work at the Ottawa County jail.
During half time spectators will be able to have photo and autograph opportunities. Grand Valley State University Cheerleaders and Griff from the Grand Rapids Griffins will be performing at the game. Musical entertainment will be played by the Allendale High School Jazz and Prep bands.
The game is May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Allendale High School 10760 68th Avenue. Tickets are $20 per person, $35 a couple, and $50 per family and can be purchased at the gate or by calling 616-392-1745.
The OCDSA also donates free tickets to organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore, The Boys and Girls Club of Holland, Michigan Special Olympics and Shields of Hope in Ottawa County.
