HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A preliminary examination is set for this afternoon in Grand Haven’s 58th District Court for ex-softball coach Thomas Galloway.
Galloway of Spring Lake Township is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. He is accused of sexual intercourse with a girl younger then 16 and abusing his position of authority as her coach for the Michigan Sabercats, a softball traveling team. Galloway was arrested March 21 and arraigned on March 22 and is currently free on bond.
The alleged victim now 17, recently told her Mother about the alleged assault which she said occcured in June of 2012. At that time, Galloway pleaded guilty to felony marijuana manufacture and delivery in Muskegon County.
Galloway is a former builder in West Michigan. He’s accused of sexually assaulting the girl in the summer of 2012 in his vehicle parked in the garage of the home he had recently bought and where he now lives.
