GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – A former Ottawa County softball coach accused of rape is headed to trial.
At Thomas Galloway’s preliminary hearing yesterday, WZZM TV 13 reports new testimony from the alleged victim claims Galloway had sex with her when she was a 13-year-old girl on the team The Sabercats. She then described a second sexual incident in 2014 when she was an employee of Galloway, helping him clean one of his newly built homes for his home-building business.
Prosecutors claim that Galloway used his authority to coerce the alleged victim into having sex. Galloway’s defense attorney has argued her statements have been contradictory.
The judge in the case had bound Galloway over for trail. He is facing four counts of criminal sexual conduct and his arraignment is scheduled for April 25.
