HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – You can help end homelessness while eating at local restaurants during Housing Matters Week.
Greater Ottawa County United Way and the Lakeshore Housing Alliance are inviting the community to pitch in. Amanda Telgenhof Community Impact Coordinator with United Way says it’s simple to do. When you get the check from your server, you will also be handed a donation slip where you check a box, hand it back to your server and the donation will be added right to your bill.
New Holland Brewing Company, The Biscuit and deBoer Bakkerij are participating starting Sunday April 17 through Saturday April 23rd, 2016. All proceeds go to the Lakeshore Housing Alliance and will be used for homelessness prevention initiatives in Ottawa County.
The Lakeshore Housing Alliance (LHA) is a collaboration of human service agencies, community members and local businesses dedicated to identifying needs, developing a vision, encouraging coordination of responses, and advocating for safe, accessible, affordable housing and services in the Ottawa County area. The LHA is a program of Greater Ottawa County United Way.
