HOLLAND (WHTC) — The City of Holland’s new gateway signs are getting redesigned.
Holland City Council generally agreed but did not vote at a Thursday study session to add a “tasteful word” to the signs, according to a Holland Sentinel report.
Outrage greeted the plan to replace tulip-bedecked wooden signs proclaiming Welcome using the Dutch spelling with metal pillars displaying the city’s name and nothing more.
When the complaints didn’t stop, city officials agreed to try again. City officials could see a new design as early as April 20.
