HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Mar. 7, 2022) – One of the first traditions that was a casualty of the COVID 19 outbreak is one of the first to be back at nearly full strength.
Organizers of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Holland, slated for this coming Saturday, are delighted to have the event back after two years away. For Greg Behan of The Curragh Traditional Irish Pub, the 2020 cancellation came a day before the parade was set to begin.
“We had everything in place for two years, and we’re basically picking it up from where we left off,” he said on “WHTC Morning News” during a Monday appearance. “Our sponsors are still all on board, and we didn’t have to meet as much as we had in past years, so it’s been good.”
A parade from the Heeringa Holland Civic Center Place begins on Saturday at 12 Noon, heading east on 8th Street downtown to the splash pad east of 8th Avenue, and there will be a three-hour scavenger hunt, starting at 11 AM, for fabulous prizes. More information on participation is available here.
