BLENDON TWP, MI (WHTC) – A Hudsonville woman is in stable condition after a three-vehicle crash in Blendon Township.
According to Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas Bouwman, 63, of Marne was driving a 2014 Ford F 250 and was stopped at the stop sign on 56th Avenue at Tyler Street. A Hudsonville 16-year-old whose name is being withheld, was eastbound on Tyler Street turning Northbound on 56th Avenue directly in front of a 2008 Honda driven by Karen Veltema, 54, of Hudsonville who was heading westbound.
The crash pushed the Chevy Tahoe into the Ford F 250 and Veltema was injured in the crash.
The other two drivers were not injured.
The 16-year-old resident of Hudsonville was cited for failure to yield right of way. All drivers were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
