HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Today is the official start of The Tulip Time Festival and the city of Holland couldn’t be more a buzz with activity. Starting this morning, there are plenty of activities to enjoy with the family to celebrate Holland’s Dutch heritage.
Festival goers can head to Kollen Park this morning at 8 a.m. to cheer on racers at the Tulip Time Run. After that, take a walk through the Art & Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Centennial Park and take a home a piece of art or homemade craft from any of the 280 vendors. Don’t forget to stick around to see Tulip Time’s famous Dutch Dancing in the streets around Centennial Park from noon until 12:15 p.m.
For families who are perhaps new to the Tulip Time experience and want to learn more about Dutch culture, Kinderplaats will be going on from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. in Kollen Park. Finally, take a trip down to the Midway Carnival in front of the Civic Center anytime between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. to pick up some fair food to eat and get on some rides.
