HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – You’ll soon be able to hop on the train with your bicycle when traveling the Amtrak Pere Marquette route.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation and Amtrak, passengers can travel with their bicycles between the Grand Rapids and Chicago route, along with stops in Holland and St. Joseph-Benton Harbor. Amtrak passengers can bring their bikes along for $10 each way and reservations are required for up to 16 bicycles per train.
An Open House will be held from 10:30-1:00 p.m. in Grand Rapids on Wednesday May 11, 2016 at the Vernon J. Ehlers Station located at 440 Century Avenue SW in Grand Rapids.
