HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – It’s all about kids today with The Metal Flow Kinder Parade today, May 12 at 2 p.m. and you can check out kinder dutch dance an hour before on 8th street.
The City of Holland is reminding residents and tourists that any items used to reserve seating for the parades may be placed in the area between the street and sidewalk. All items must be picked up and removed no later than one hour following the conclusion of each parade. Any items found in the right-of-way outside of the allowed times will be removed by the City of Holland.
Items picked up may be claimed at Holland’s transportation services department, at 333 Wyngarden Way, between 40th and 48th Streets through May 18, 2016. After that, the items will be discarded.
For the Kinderparade on Thursday, May 12, items used for reserved seating may not be placed earlier than 6 a.m. on the day of the parade.
On Saturday, May 14, the Muziekparade starts at 2 p.m. and reserved seating may be placed no earlier than 9 p.m. on the Friday night before the parade.
Take in the sights and smells down and around Central Avenue to the carnival at the Civic Center which runs from 11-10 p.m. today.
The Dutch Marketplaats and Dutch Food Court opens today at the Civic Center from 10-6:00 p.m. A style show will feature dutch dance and kinder dance with dutch dance performers throughout the day.
Enjoy the display of more than 100 handmade bed quilts at the Quilt Show from 10-4:00 p.m today at the Holland Arts Center…that’s also where you can check out the Art in Bloom Exhibit and vote for viewer’s choice celebrating the 6th anniversary of the Art in Bloom poster.
Broadway’s Best is at the Commons at Evergreen from 11-1 p.m.
Holland Garden Club and Flower Show from 9-6:00 p.m. at Herrick District Library.
At Central Wesleyan check out the Wonder Bread Years from 7-9 pm.
Coloring at Tulip Time at Warner Vineyards with local artist Carolyn Stitch is from 7-9..must be 21 to attend.
Remember the Family Rest Area and Play Area is at GDK Park on 8th street just west of Central Avenue and open 10-6:00 p.m.
