HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tulip Time will give it another try to break the record at Klomp the Record 2.0 Saturday, May 14, at Kollen Park.
The record is currently held by Pella, Iowa for the largest number of people simultaneously dancing in wooden shoes.
Last year the event fell short of breaking the record. Event planner Kara Rooks says part of falling short of the record was because there was a lack of wooden shoes. A wooden shoe drive was held through January through March in hopes that those who did not have wooden shoes were able to get them for free.
The cost of registration to participate in Klomp the Record is $6 per person. All funds raised from this event will go to Bethany Christian Services’ post adoption fund.
Put on your wooden shoes and watch the video to get up to speed on the dance for Saturday.
