HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Meet Trinket. A pint-sized Yorkshire Terrier who loves people and chasing birds and squirrels in her backyard. Is she adorable or what?
She was awarded the coveted title in the Ottawa County Top Dog Contest. Trinket fetched 467 votes in the contest which was shared on the County’s social media channels and the contest prompted people to get their dogs licensed so that they may enter the contest. The County did experience its “highest-one-day-sales” on licenses at 35 on April 18.
Blad Slagh, Ottawa County Treasurer says “Michigan Law requires that all dogs have a valid rabies shot issued by a veterinarian and a current county license. The health of our community and out pets is protected when all dogs are licensed.”
A three year dog license can cost as little as $25. Ottawa County will post the rest of the entries on their website.
