HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – There has been a slight change in the ongoing work involving one of downtown Holland’s main arteries.
On Wednesday, city officials disclosed that the intersection of 9th Street and College Avenue, which was slated to be closed this Friday, will remain open through this weekend. The junction is now slated for blocking off on Monday, June 6 and will remain closed for “two to three days.”
Pedestrians are asked to use extra caution and cross at intersections June 9-10, during construction to install a new water main under the Ninth Street CSX railroad crossing. Pedestrians and drivers are also cautioned to not move any signs or barricades.
The Ninth Street project involves three phases and is expected to continue through Oct. 15, 2016, but that date could change based on work order alterations, weather or other circumstances.
