HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A tobacco and cannabis shop in Spring Lake Township was robbed last night.
According to Sgt. Christie Wendt of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the armed robbery occurred at the Simply Wright store located at 19088 174th Avenue in Spring Lake Township. A male entered the store and displayed a handgun to the store employee demanding cash. The employee gave him an undisclosed amount of cash from his person and the subject then left the store in a vehicle headed northbound on 174th Avenue. At the time of the incident there were no customers inside the store.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s or 30’s. 5’10” to 6’4″ and clean shaven with a stocky build. The vehicle is described as a 2000 or newer Silver Chevy Impala.
