HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The city of Holland has landed another plum event.
Officials with the Michigan Municipal League notified Mayor Nancy DeBoer on Wednesday that they have selected the Tulip City for hosting the group’s annual convention next year. From September 13 through 15, leaders of the state’s communities will gather to discuss issues, hand out awards and network on matters of common interest.
DeBoer told “WHTC Morning News” during a live interview today that MML leaders came away impressed in a recent visit to Holland with the various venues available for them, including the recently-opened Jack Miller Center on the Hope College campus, which helped the city in landing this conference.
The League meets this September on Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel.
