HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An 18-year-old man crashed into a utility pole Friday morning, causing part of Ottawa Beach Road in Park Township to be completely closed for a few hours.
At around 9 a.m. on Friday, Holland resident Spencer Vandevusse was driving east bound on Ottawa Beach Road near Wood Avenue in Holland when he lost control of his 2007 Audi. Vandevusse crossed the center road line and two lanes of westbound traffic and crashed into a utility pole on the north side of the road.
The pole broke in half as a result of the collision and fell to the ground, along with several power and utility lines. A portion of Ottawa Beach Road near Wood Avenue was completely closed to traffic for two and a half hours after the crash while Consumer’s Energy repaired the damages.
Vandevusse was uninjured in the incident.
