HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Board of Public Works has officially released its 2015 Annual Water Quality Report.
The report which is available online, indicates that the Holland Water Treatment System met all federal and state drinking water regulations without exception from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015.
HBPW General Manager Dave Koster says, “Our residents and businesses can trust their water system and its treatment process. We want our community to know that we go above and beyond all procedures and protocols to provide clean, safe drinking water for them and their families.”
In accordance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), all community water utilities are required to annually provide a water quality report. The report is distributed each year and reports vital information about Holland’s water quality for the previous year.
As a state certified microbiological lab, the HBPW’s Water Treatment Plant, in conjunction with three independent labs, conducted more than 50,000 tests for more than 200 plus contaminants in 2015. HBPW treated 4,089,848,278gallons of water in 2015.
The format on this year’s website will allow customers to easily click on different tabs about this year’s results and information about the water treatment process and testing standards.
