HOLLAND (WHTC) — U.S. citizens planning first-time trips to other countries can apply for passports at Holland City Clerk’s office Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
The clerk’s office also provides passport photo services, for a $10 fee. Expedited service for passport books costs extra are issued in three weeks.
No appointment is necessary during weekday (Mon.-Fri.) business hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The clerk’s office also provides passport renewal forms and photo services. Renewal documents must be mailed in by the applicants.
To get a passport, applicants must provide:1. Completed Application2. Valid picture identification (typically your driver’s license or state-issued ID)3. Proof of Citizenship (certified birth or naturalization certificate)4. Passport Picture (Clerk’s office charges $10)5. Two separate payments: 1. U.S. State Department fee (check or money order only) 2. City of Holland fee (cash or check only)
Passports for children under 16 are only good for five years. Children must be accompanied by parents to apply.
Passport fees range from $55 to nearly $250 (for rushed delivery) and separate payments must be made t the U.S. State Department and the clerk’s office.
Emergency passport needs (14 days due to an emergency) requires a Regional Passport Agency appointments Call, toll-free, the National Passport Information Center, (877) 487-2778 or (888) 874-7793 (TDD/TYY). Applicant will pay the U.S. State Department additional fees for the rush.
