GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The Holland/Zeeland area could be spared from the first major weather event of the 2016 summer season in the Midwest.
Although the possibility of storms for the Lakeshore continue through this evening, forecasters from the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids think that the brunt will be felt further south toward the Indiana state line. Some elevated storms from the warm front could reach as far north as I-96, with some hail and heavy downpours, but stronger winds and more damaging weather is expected in the border counties through the evening hours.
