HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The first graduates from the Juvenile Justice Institute in Ottawa County have earned their high school diplomas.
According to the 20th Circuit Court-Family Division of the Juvenile Court, Johnny Nguyen of Holland Public Schools and Karas Bayko of Hudsonville Public Schools will attend college this fall. The institute is designed to reintegrate students into their local school following a successful period at the Institute. The Institute keeps students engaged in their education and it prevents them from dropping out of school.
The Ottawa County Juvenile Court contracts with the Ottawa Area Intermediate Schol District to provide this educational program. Chief Probate Judge Mark A. Feyen presided over the graduation.
This years’ students graduated with the support of Holland Public School Superintendent, Dr. Brian Davis and Hudsonville Public School Superintendent Dr. Nicholas Ceglarek.
