HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An opportunity to watch your contribution at work awaits you with Special Olympics of Michigan.
Their second annual Special Olympics Michigan Golf Skills Competition will feature a 9-hole golf scramble, lunch, refreshments, a four-event skills competition and an awards ceremony.
Jim Szilagyi, General Manager of the LYNX golf course says what makes this even special is the althetes themselves. “It’s really amazing when you see it for yourself how they do at chipping, putting, and the real highlight of the event is the awards ceremony. The smiles on the Special Olympians whether they are first or last it doesn’t matter, they are equally excited. It’s a touching event” Szilagyi tells WHTC News.
There are sponsorships available at $500 and indvidual and foursome spots are available. It takes place at Lynx Golf Course in Otsego on Monday July 25 and will benefit Area 11, 12 and 16 which includes Ottawa and Allegan counties.
