HOLLAND (WHTC) – The new CityVu Events space at CityFlats Hotel is now open for wedding receptions, business meetings and other gatherings. The rooftop space, which had previously been home to the CityVu Bistro, was renovated during the late winter and early spring, and has already hosted several wedding receptions. CityFlats marketing coordinator Jaycee Garrow tells WHTC News that the decision to convert the space was prompted by the success of the ballroom at CityFlats Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, which has been a hit with wedding parties and corporate events. CityVu Bistro shut down in February. The CityVu Events space will seat about 150 guests. Garrow says there will be limited opportunities for the public to access the fifth-floor space, mostly limited to brunches on holidays such as Easter. West Coast Chamber of Commerce officials celebrated the new space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.
