ALLENDALE (WHTC) – Get ready to pay more for tuition if you’ve got kids at Grand Valley State University. The GVSU Board of Trustees Friday approved a 4 percent tuition increase. That translates into another 221 dollars per semester, raising the annual tuition for a full-time in-state undergraduate at the Allendale school to 11-thousand-520 dolars. Despite the increase, university officials say GVSU still ranks in the bottom half of Michigan public universities when it comes to tuition. The university board also approved a 9 percent boost in financial aid to help offset rising tuition costs. In other action Friday, the board passed a 2.9 percent pay raise for faculty and staff members.
