HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tuesday August 2 is primary election day in Ottawa and Allegan counties.
In both counties there are contested races for state representatives, county commissioners, township leaders, as well as ballot proposals for Herrick District Library and a millage for Ottawa County Parks.
The Ottawa County Register of Deeds has five ways to help you save time at the polls.
1. You can study your ballot in advance.
2. Find your polling location.
3. Plan a time to vote. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. but lines are typically shorter in the morning.
4. Subscribe to receive unofficial election results via text or email.
5. Find them on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or Clerk/Register on Facebook. Use the hashtag #ocMIvotes.
