HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 21-year-old Holland Township man was arrested in a Holland Township home invasion and may also be involved in at least eight other incidents.
According to Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred about 4:15 p.m. on July 26. Deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 14000 block of Quincy Street in Holland Township after a witness noticed the suspect breaking into the victim’s apartment.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found suspect Abel Sepulveda still in the victim’s apartment. The victim was not home at the time. Sepulveda was taken into custody and lodged at the Ottawa County Jail but bonded out on a $10,000 cash surety bond.
Investigators say the suspect may be involved in at least eight other break-ins of apartments in that same complex. Stolen items included electronics, food, jewelry and money. Other charges may be added in the near future.
The incident remains under investigation.
