HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A house fire on Holland’s North Side was brought under control by crews from two departments this afternoon.
Ottawa County Central Dispatch received a report about the blaze in the 13 thousand block of Riley Street, west of US-31, shortly before 2 PM. It took about an hour before firefighters from Holland and Park townships were able to douse the flames. Substantial damage was seen on the ranch-style structure.
Multiple media reports claim that all of the residents inside at the time were able to escape the fire, with one person being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Investigators didn’t immediately determine a cause of the blaze, but initially believe that it had started in the kitchen area of the dwelling.
