HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A Holland man driving at a high rate of speed caused a crash Monday evening August 9 in Holland Township.
Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Matt Wilfong says Deputies witnessed Zachary Tiffany, 21, of Holland who was not injured was driving a 1987 Mazda RX7 at around 9:15 p.m. eastbound on James Street at 60-65 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone just prior to the crash.
As Tiffany went through the intersection at James and 120th Avenue, he hit a 1993 Ford Truck that was turning southbound on 120th Avenue. The 28-year-old driver from Nashville, Michigan had the green arrow to turn onto 120th Avenue. The front seat passenger in the truck, Anthony Adkins, 46 of Vicksburg was transported to the hospital after complaining of back pain. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and is listed in good condition.
Adkins is listed in good condition and the crash remains under investigation. The name of driver of the truck is being withheld pending possible charges.
