HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Hospital has earned a 5-star rating for overall quality from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
An updated Overall Quality Star Ratings system summarizes 64 quality measures and Holland Hospital is one of only 102 hospitals to achieve a 5-star rating out of approximately 4,600 hospitals reviewed nationwide.
According to Goodrich, the rating includes quality measures for routine care that the average individual receives, to quality measures that focus on hospital-acquired infections.
“Our 5-star rating is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to provide the highest quality of care across our entire range of services,” said Mark Pawlak, Senior Vice President, Quality, IS & Hospital Operations. “We know that health care consumers are doing more comparative research to find the best quality for their health care dollars. The Hospital Compare website gives consumers another opportunity to compare hospitals.”
