HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Tonight in downtown Zeeland, those fighting cancer and cancer survivors will be honored with a parade.
It’s Community Hero’s night at Zeelmania. There will be a “no one fights alone” parade with Shields of Hope. The organization Shields of Hope is run by local Public Safety professionals in the West Michigan area. The mission is to provide assistance to those affected by cancer utilizing the resources they have in the community to make living with cancer a little easier.
All cancer survivors and those fighting it are invited to walk in the parade at 8:15 p.m. Staging for the parade will be in the Cityside Middle School parking lot at 322 East Main Street. Those participating are asked to wear your Sheilds of Hope shirts or anything purple and arrive at 7:45 p.m.
Zeelmania has become a staple on Monday nights this summer. From 6-8 p.m. there will be family fun with bounce houses, face painting, activities, K9 Unit and more.
