HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Two of three persons charged in an incident last month at a Holland Township residence that left an 18-year-old man dead from stab wounds have been bound over for trial.
Sergio Coda and Alexis Allen waived a preliminary hearing in Holland District Court on Friday on charges of lying to sheriff’s deputies invesigating the murder of Seth Elijah Cuevas at a Manley Street residence on July 14th. A third person involved, Mark Hekman, will have his hearing on Tuesday.
Detectives believe that the three, along with an unidentified fourth person still at large, were with Cuevas at the time of an altercation that led to the victim’s death, but have not yet brought murder charges on anyone. Authorities have been in contact with witnesesses and family members of the suspect at large since the incident.
Allen and Heckman are both free on bond, while Coda, who also faces a felonious assault charged in a related incident, remains held in the Ottawa County Jail on 100 thousand dollars bond.
