HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As new students are settling into their living quarters, returning students are coming back to Hope College ahead of Tuesday’s start of classes.
A series of orientation activities for the Class of 2020 that began on Friday will continue through Monday, but the highlight of the weekend comes on Sunday with the Opening Convocation in Dimnent Memorial Chapel. Dr. Curtis Gruenler, an English professor and director of General Education at Hope, will be the featured speaker. The ceremony is being held in the chapel this fall due to work on the court floor at DeVos Fieldhouse, so admission will be limited to new students and faculty. A video streaming for the general public is at the Miller Center’s Concert Hall.
The 155th Academic Year at Hope College begins at 8 AM on Tuesday.
