HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland High School has been in session for over a week, but they have been planning for their musical “Mary Poppins” since Summer.
Kevin Schneider who heads up the Theatre Department says first rehearsals started Wednesday, August 31. The musical was cast this Spring with over 51 students from grades 3rd through 12th. “All those students were ready to go on day one even though school had just started.”
Schneider says “If we don’t get them while they are younger sometimes it’s difficult to get them because they get involved with other things os they just think that they can’t do it. Alot of times we will bring in Seniors who want to do the play at least one time before they graduate.”
Mary Poppins will run the first two weeks of December. Tickets are on sale right now and may be purchased online.
