HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – When Tuesday starts the work week after Labor Day, construction will start back up in Holland with new road closures.
The City of Holland says that East 16th Street will be totally closed to traffic between US-31 and Fairbanks Avenue as CSX Railroad will be removing and replacing the Hamilton Spur Crossing in the area.
Work is expected to be complete in one week with a tentative date of September 13 for the road to be reopened.
The road closure will affect east/west traffic on 16th Street. Motorists will be required to follow the posted detour of Hoover Blvd., and 8th Street and Fairbanks Avenue.
